Soumya Gupta is an alumna of St Catherine's College at Curtin (2023-2024) now working as part of the team at Suzanne Hunt Architect in Nedlands. Soumya obtained her Bachelor of Architecture in India and, after a short stint as a Junior Architect with Next Wall in New Delhi, came to Perth to pursue a Master of Architecture at Curtin University.
Suzanne Hunt Architect is a practice known for its people-focused and environmentally responsive approach. They specialise in residential, heritage, hospitality and mixed-use architecture. Outside the studio, Soumya is a photography enthusiast, especially in architecture photography, and conducts bBollywood dance workshops. SHe remains closely involved with Perth’s architecture community through events, internships and design initiatives.
At College, Soumya will speak about the decisions, challenges and opportunities that shaped her path from student life on campus to the professional world. Moving countries, studying, interning and beginning a career in architecture, she will offer residents an honest and practical perspective on navigating the transition from university to working life.
